ChoosifyPrivacy Policy
Choosify processes your personal data only as far as needed to provide the service, and never sells it.
This policy is prepared under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We do not collect location, contacts, microphone or advertising ID. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose a photo. Phone notifications are sent only if you allow them; you can change the permission in your phone settings and choose notification types in the app under Settings > Notifications at any time.
3. Public information
Your username, profile photo, bio, country, polls, the options you voted for (the "Choices" section of your profile) and your follower/following lists can be seen by other users. Your email address is never shown to other users. Direct messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation.
Politics category: Political opinions are a special category of personal data (KVKK Art. 6, GDPR Art. 9). Your votes on polls in the Politics category are therefore never shown on your profile, and this category is never used for sponsored polls. If you join a poll's discussion room, people in the room can see which side you chose next to your messages; for political polls you are warned about this before joining. Joining a room is entirely optional and means you explicitly agree to show your side to the people in that room.
4. Data transfers
- Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage), which provide the app's infrastructure. These servers may be located outside Türkiye. Transfers abroad are made in line with Article 9 of KVKK and applicable GDPR safeguards.
- Your data is never sold or rented to third parties for advertising.
- For sponsored polls, only aggregate and anonymous results are shared with brands.
- Data may be shared with competent authorities when required by law.
5. Retention
Your data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, polls, photos, saved polls, notifications, notification IDs and follow relationships are deleted. When you delete a poll, its vote records, saves, notifications and discussion room are deleted automatically. To keep poll results accurate, your votes may remain as anonymous counts that cannot be linked to you. Report records may be kept for 2 years for safety purposes.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it.
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly.
- Learn the third parties your data is transferred to, in Türkiye or abroad.
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Request deletion or destruction of your data.
- Object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis.
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
- If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Send your requests to support@choosifyapp.com. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days. You can also delete your account and data in the app from Profile > Settings > Delete account (details).
7. Children
Choosify is not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under this age, we close the account and delete its data.
8. Security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is restricted by server-side security rules. We cannot see your password.
9. Changes and contact
